The best-known wine region in California is the Napa Valley. About 26 miles long and 10 miles wide, the Napa Valley is bordered by San Pablo Bay to the south, the hot springs of Calistoga to the north and by mountains on either side. It is this assorted topography, along with diverse accompanying climates, that allows the Napa Valley to grow and blend such a variety of grapes. Visitors from around the world travel here to see and taste the legend that is the Napa Valley.
